Welcome & Introduction
In this introductory course on Communication, we will explore topics including the functions, foundations, models, and modes of communication. Students will be introduced to research methods and begin to master the research and study skills required to be a successful scholar of communication. An overview of concepts and processes related to the functions of communication will be examined through current theoretical and empirical research.
Credit Value
This course has a 3-credit hour value.

How does Covenant University Online work?
Covenant University Online is a work at your own pace online platform. Each course equates to one month. Each course begins on the first Monday of every month. All assignments, quizzes, exams and term papers are due by the 28th of every month. Once your application has been received and approved you will receive an email with your login information.
Tuitions are due on the 1st of every month. Once you have received your login information please login through the “My Account” tab and scroll down towards the bottom. There, you will be able to see the courses that are available. You may also go to covenantuniversityonline.com and click on the “All Courses” tab at the top of the page. Once you have purchased your course and you have been approved, you will receive an email stating your enrollment in the course. Following this you will then be able to sign in and access your course through the “My Account” page at the top of the covenantuniversityonline.com website.
Please note that our courses must be completed consecutively. Please keep this in mind when purchasing courses.
