How to Study the Bible (206-ON)
Introduction
Welcome to Covenant Bible College! The operative word here is Bible, and you will find that all of your courses are based, either on the Bible itself, or topics based on biblical principles. It stands to reason then that the most important text book you will use throughout your Bible College enrollment is the Holy Bible. In fact, it is the most important book you could ever own for navigating the twists and turns of life. Consequently, this course is fundamental to all of the other courses you will take at Covenant.
If the Bible was not divinely inspired, but was only the work of men, millions of people who have claimed to walk in the light of God’s Word have been deceived, and your Bible College education will be a waste of time and money. What they claim as light would be nothing more than deception, and in Jesus’ own words, “but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” (Matthew 6:23, ESV) However, in this course you will be introduced to overwhelming evidence that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; yet, in the end, you will still have to accept it by faith (Hebrews 11:6). Once we get over the hurdle of divine inspiration, we are faced with another challenge – the abundance of translations. At Covenant we are only concerned with English translations, from which there are more than a few to choose. Many scholars agree to the original manuscripts of Scripture being divinely inspired, but leave God out of the equation when it comes to preserving, copying, and ultimately translating them into a native language. We contend that God is much bigger than that. When the ethics of translation are adhered to, God sees to it that men and women from every tribe and tongue receive the essential truths of His Word.
So here we are, with divinely inspired copies of God’s Word, written in English, at our disposal. What’s next? We read it, memorize it, meditate on it, study it, share it, preach it, and write about it.
In other words, communication of God’s Word takes place, either to us or others. In the process, interpretation occurs, formally or informally, consciously or subconsciously. This is where “the rubber meets the road” so it is vitally important that we are acquainted with the guidelines that lead to accurate interpretation.

How does MyCBCS Online work?
MyCBCS Online is a work at your own pace online platform. Each course equates to one month. Each course begins on the first of every month. All assignments, quizzes, exams and term papers are due by the 28th of every month. Once your application has been received and approved you will receive an email with your login information.
Tuitions are due on the 1st of every month. Once you have received your login information please login through the “My Account” tab and scroll down towards the bottom. There, you will be able to see the courses that are available. You may also go to mycbcs.online and click on the “All Courses” tab at the top of the page. Once you have purchased your course and you have been approved, you will receive an email stating your enrollment in the course. Following this you will then be able to sign in and access your course through the “My Account” page at the top of the mycbcs.online website.
